Comments coming in and published results on the official site indicate that we incorrectly reported on the 4x400m teams’ performance at the 2009 edition of the Penn Relays.

While the team did indeed come third in a time of 3:16.81, this was the result in their heat.  The time though was not fast enough to take them through to the final.

In final results, QRC’s Richard Collingwood, brother of shot putt bronze medallist Robert Collingwood, closed his account with a 15th placed finish in the High School Boys’ Discus event with a toss of 43.04 metres.  Like his brother, he was the only Trinidadian student participating in his event.

QRC.edu congratulates all of the athletes on their representation and achievements at the Penn Relays 2009.

As a result of contributions received at the QRC Small Lime 2008, the QRChaps group has been able to assist the school to the tune of $12,000.00.

The sum was formally handed over to Principal Hinkson last week and will help in funding some of the restoration work to the school’s canteen.  This will permit the students eat in a more aesthetically pleasing environment.

QRChaps are continuing to do their part and they thank all for their continued support.
