This year’s edition of Blue Blood is subtitled ‘Retro-Royale: Looking Back, Moving Forward‘.

As the name suggests, we are going  to be revisiting the hits of past decades and honouring the values that were consistent with those times while celebrating the innovation and  of the current and future through generations.  Of course, this will all be expressed through song, dance, poetry, and drama.

The first half of the show highlights the ‘Retro‘ while the second half looks at the ‘Royalness‘ of the new millennium.

Two shows will be held at the Queen’s Hall in St. Ann’s on Tuesday 7th and Wednesday 8th April, 2009.  Showtime each night is at 7:00 PM.

Advance tickets are $100 and available at the College.

Facebook users, please show your attendance for night 1 at http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=60901989865&ref=mf and night 2 at http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=60819482438&ref=mf

The site has been relatively inactive since the Quite Respectable Chaps’ Small Lime in December 2008.  Since then though, we’ve done some minor tweaking of the look and feel of the QRC.edu news feed, and published a few event posts last week and this weekend. [Link 1, Link 2,  Link 3]

In 1959 Queen’s Royal College won the St Mary’s vs QRC Intercol football match. Back then the annual Intercol football match in October/November was a major highlight on the football calendar.

Spectators who crowded into the Grand Stand at the Queen’s Park Savannah and those who chose to view from the grounds around the field, would cheer on their team to the accompaniment of bugles and other instruments.
