
According to the principals of Flotrack, they are a “Go-to site for anybody interested in running.” Flotrack has captured video of several of the events at the Penn Relays, including QRC’s win in the High School Boys’ 4×100 for Small Schools.
Suffice it to say that the team’s performance – particularly that of the fourth leg – was nothing short of astounding.

Queen’s Royal College won the 4×100 metre Small Schools race for High School Boys at the Penn Relays today.
Clocking a time of 42.01, Christian Benjamin, Jonathan Holder, Darren Nelson and Shermund Allsop pipped Holmwood Tech of Manchester, Jamaica whose second place finish was timed at 42.03. The Booker T. Washington High School team out of Norfolk, Virginia took third in 42.76.
The Royalian team also won their preliminary heat with a time of 42.81, this time beating second placed St. Croix Central of the Virgin Islands handily by more than two seconds. The time ranked QRC 7th overall in the heats out of 240 participating schools.

ZANE CAMPBELL of St Mary’s College was voted the Most Valuable Player (MVP) when the Trinidad and Tobago Schools Rugby Football Union’s (TTSRFU) handed out their annual awards at the Audio/Visual Room at Fatima College, Mucurapo.
Jarvis Coxwell of the International School Port-of-Spain also received the best player award among the Under-14s.
Coxwell beat out the challenges of top Under-14 players such as Anderson Joseph of St James Secondary, his teammate Matthew Temple and Jose Harewood of Fatima College for the top award.
The talented CIC student got the nod ahead of a number of top players in the Under-17 division such as Queen’s Royal College’s Andel Matamora, Fatima’s Keifer Rodriguez and Joseph Quashie of Belmont among others.

FATIMA College pulled off a hard-fought 58-40 victory over the International School Port-of- Spain in the Under-20 Boys Category of the North Zone of the Secondary School Basketball League at the Jean Pierre Complex, Mucurapo yesterday.
Despite an exciting 17 points from Bill Fryar from the International School, it was Fatima which succeeded, thanks to an enterprising 15 points from Caleb Cudjoe.
The boys from Mucurapo Road also got 18 points from Alexander Weekes and 17 from Jevon Forde in the win.

Ameer Khan scored a brilliant century as he led Presentation College Chaguanas to an easy 206-run victory over Presentation College San Fernando in the PowerGen Secondary Schools Cricket League (SSCL) 30-over InterCol knockout competition yesterday, while defending champions Princes Town Senior Comprehensive overcame Union Claxton Bay Senior Comprehensive by eight wickets to secure their place in the next round.
Khan’s even 100 led the South Central powerhouse to 243 for seven, with Kjorn Ottley chipping in with a solid 54.
Khan and Ottley returned with the ball to snatch two for two and four for ten, respectively, to dismiss their southern counterparts for 37.

Queen’s Royal College captured two of the three titles up for grabs among the boys at the inaugural Queen’s Park Judo Club (QPJC) Schools Judo Tournament, at the Jean Pierre Complex, in Port of Spain, last Saturday.
Sean Lawrence triumphed in the boys’ under-14 45 kilogrammes division, while his fellow-Royalian Matthew Sheppard was the class of the boys’ under-14 73kg field. South East Port of Spain Secondary student Mark Samuel captured the boys’ 16 and over title.
Cherisse Littrean, of St Joseph’s Convent, Port of Spain, claimed the girls’ under-15 crown; Providence Girls Catholic School student Vanna Girod topped the girls’ 15-17 52kg division; Holy Name Convent’s Raeanne Hutton struck gold in the girls’ 15-17 66kg category; and Chezev Matthew, of Bishop Anstey High School, emerged victorious in the girls’ open competition.
