Fatima College and St Mary’s College were the big winners when the First Citizens 2008 Secondary Schools Water Polo League continued earlier this week with action in the form one division.

Fatima registered a 9-3 victory over rivals QRC, while CIC shut out Trinity College 13-0 at the Country Club.

For Fatima, national swimmers Blaine Sobrian (four) and Daniel Tardieu (three) set the pace for their school’s winning performance while Oludare Marcelle (2) and Keiron Emmanuel (one) scored the consolation items for the Royalians.

CIC’s total domination was masterminded by Andrew Chin Lee and Jonathan Gillette who each netted five times.

These latest results put CIC tied with QRC at the top of the table with four points from two victories in the current standings. Water polo action will now be discontinued for the Carnival weekend and is set to resume the following weekend.
